In 1988, Ali made her big screen debut when she appeared in the film called Crocodile Dundee II. Also, Ali also made her appearances on TV screens. A Man Called Hawk and Wally and the Valentines were some of her TV parts. One of the projects she worked on was Ali's breakthrough came when she created Ashley Banks come to life in the smash TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Alongside star Will Smith, the series was a huge success. It was among NBC's top shows, ranking 12th on the list of most watched programs from 1990 to 1992. It also won two Golden Globe nominations.
